Currently booking projects for September & October 2025
hi, i'm ida fia!
... tucked away in the woods of southern Sweden.
For over a decade, I’ve helped aspiring authors around the world bring their stories to life and self-publish with confidence — from heartfelt covers to beautifully crafted interiors.
My goal is to make the self-publishing journey feel less like a maze and more like a breath of fresh air — clear, encouraging, and a little bit magical.
When I’m not deep in a design project, you’ll probably find me chasing golden hour with my camera, painting, sipping something warm, dreaming up future stories yet to be told… or stranded on the side of the road with my broken-down camper van Pingu.

the story
I often get asked how I got into book design — and honestly, it’s kind of a funny story.
Back in 2013, I stumbled upon the band NEEDTOBREATHE on Instagram. Inspired by their lyrics, I created a typographic design and shared it with the hashtag #needtobreathe.
A few months later, Seth, the band’s bass player, reached out. He and his brother had written a book for charity, and he asked if I’d be interested in designing it.
I had zero experience with book design. But I channeled the spirit of my childhood hero, Pippi Longstocking, who once said,
The takeaway? Never underestimate the power of a hashtag—or the magic that can happen when you say yes to something new.
So I said, “Let’s do it!”
The following months were a whirlwind of learning, creativity, and collaboration. I had no idea it could take so long to design a book—but it was worth every second. The book turned out beautifully and launched on March 4, 2014, with all proceeds going to One World Health, a nonprofit providing healthcare in developing countries. It was an incredible feeling to be part of something so meaningful.
Since then, I’ve had the joy of helping hundreds of authors bring their stories to life across the globe and made friends for life.
